The food and portion sizes were phenomenal. Food was seasoned well, came out hot and was well worth the wait. We tried a few different options: Fried Shrimp appetizer; Fried chicken with dirty rice & Mac & cheese; Oxtails over rice, yams & Mac & cheese. SLAMMING. The waitress was kind, warm, welcoming, and served us with a smile. The restaurant was close by our hotel in the Niagara Falls area. Atmosphere gets 4 stars because although it’s a Black owned friendly, family restaurant, some staff members had on head scarfs and plain clothes, no uniform shirts or anything. Just my opinion, other than that, I’d recommend this restaurant hands down.

If you’re in Niagara Falls you got to eat here. My husband and I went for lunch after visiting the aquarium and it was delicious. The portions are huge and the staff was very nice. The kitchen is small so expect a wait for food, but trust me it’s worth it. I got the Catfish nuggets with a side of mac and cheese and cabbage, and cornbread. My husband got the fried chicken, mac and cheese and cornbread. All of it SLAPPED. If we’re ever back in Niagara Falls we WILL be coming back!

I was skeptical when I got to the neighborhood! Best meal we had in a 12 day, 14 state trip! Large portions. Seasoned delicious! Will definitely go back if I visit Niagara Falls again!

Simply soul is just an amazing place to go sit and eat and enjoy soul food. Everything we had was amazing. Simply delicious. Yes, you have to wait for the food, but it's so worth it. Go but be patient you will not be disappointed, every bite is worth it!. We had to end our trip going back to Simply Soul. 2nd time was just as good‼️

This was a hidden gem in the city. It is near the Underground Railroad Museum which tied in perfectly for our trip. The service was great, fast and friendly. Definitely a family atmosphere with some sophisticated touches in the restaurant. The food was well seasoned and fresh from the kitchen. The banana pudding was amazing. Nice variety on the menu. Great portions. We are from the South and this was a nice surprise in New York. If you like Southern style soul food then this is a great place.

First time visiting here. We ordered the chicken and waffles, chicken and shrimp Rasta pasta and haddock fish dinner with sides of greens,yams and mac and cheese with cornbread. As well as the 2 piece chicken and french fries with Mac and cheese. The Rasta pasta was very good and if you like spicy it does have a kick to it. The food was so delicious and filling. We will definitely stop by again.

I had a pick up order for doordash here, the place smelled so good walking up and then having that delicious smelling food in my truck - I couldn't resist making an order after I completed the delivery. Even though I came in close to closing, I received quality service and food. The roast is amazing, and I loved the Mac and cheese. Great sized portions, definitely enough food for me to have plenty of left overs. The staff is also super friendly, I will definitely be a returning customer!!! Can't wait to order again and try the yams!!! Thank you so much for the amazing food and service ❤️ (Added picture of my order, *soda not included*)
